Profhilo® is a bio-remodelling injectable: it does not add volume like a filler. Instead, hyaluronic acid spreads beneath the skin to deeply hydrate and stimulate collagen and elastin.

It is most worth it for patients with skin laxity, dullness or dehydration who want quality of skin rather than reshaping. Patients in their late 20s to 60s see the clearest benefit, with results visible 4 weeks after the first session.

It is not the right tool if you want lift, projection, or facial balancing — for those goals, dermal fillers or a combination protocol is more effective.

The most common request at our Sliema clinic is for lips that look like a better version of your own — hydrated, balanced and naturally shaped. We use conservative volumes (0.5–1 ml per session), refined cannula technique and lidocaine-infused fillers for comfort.

Lip filler is suitable from age 21+, with realistic expectations and outside of pregnancy or breastfeeding. Results last 9–12 months. We always review at 2 weeks to refine if needed.

If you are unsure, start with a half-syringe and see how you feel. Restraint is the cornerstone of natural-looking results.

Avoid blood-thinning supplements (fish oil, vitamin E, high-dose ibuprofen) for 48 hours before injectables — they increase bruising risk.

Arrive without makeup if possible, hydrated and well-fed. We will photograph your resting face for medical records and discuss your concerns in detail.

Plan at least 7–10 days before any major event. Light bruising or swelling can take up to a week to fully resolve.

Malta's sun, sea and chlorine exposure adds stress to the hair shaft, but most hair thinning is driven by genetics, hormones and nutrition rather than the climate itself.

For early to moderate thinning, PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections combined with a topical and oral protocol show the strongest evidence base. A course of 3–4 monthly sessions delivers visible density change at 3–4 months.

If you have full alopecia or scarring hair loss, PRP is not the right tool — we will refer you appropriately rather than treat for the sake of it.
